Responsibilities [About the Role] We are looking for experienced accounting and audit professionals to help train and evaluate advanced AI models so they can reason like real-world financial experts. In this role, you’ll use your domain knowledge to design challenging accounting tasks, review AI-generated outputs, and define clear evaluation standards across financial reporting, auditing, tax, and internal controls. This is a flexible, remote freelance role that can be done alongside your existing professional or academic commitments. [What You’ll Do] As an Accounting Expert – AI Trainer, you will: • Evaluate AI-generated answers to accounting and audit questions for accuracy, regulatory compliance, and clarity. • Design realistic accounting scenarios, case studies, and problem sets (e.g., GAAP/IFRS applications, audit findings, journal entry exercises, internal control assessments). • Create scoring rubrics and structured evaluation guidelines to assess model performance in your domain. • Provide high-quality written feedback to help improve the reasoning, judgement, and professional communication of AI models. • Collaborate with AI teams to refine tasks, datasets, and evaluation frameworks over time.
Qualifications Bachelor’s, Master’s, or professional certification in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field. (CPA, CA, or equivalent strongly preferred.) At least 3–4 years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas: • Financial Accounting • Audit & Assurance • Internal Controls / SOX • Tax Accounting • Financial Reporting (GAAP/IFRS) • Management / Cost Accounting • Corporate Finance or FP&A • Internal Audit or Risk Assessment Strong grasp of core accounting concepts such as: • GAAP and/or IFRS standards • Financial statements and consolidation • Journal entries, reconciliations, and closing processes • Audit methodologies, internal controls, and compliance frameworks • Tax principles and regulatory reporting Excellent written English, with the ability to explain complex accounting concepts clearly and precisely.
